Enrichment Topic at the March Breastfeeding Cafe

At the March Breastfeeding Cafe (Wednesday, March 7th) we will be discussing the benefits to wearing your baby.  We will have many different types of carriers for you to try on and we will have experienced baby wearing mothers and Leaders there to help.  I hope to see you all there!  La Leche League Leaders will be there to answer or support you with any Breastfeeding questions as well.

La Leche League Meetings in Fort Collins

Ever wonder why women go to La Leche League meetings?  Meetings are great for supporting mom’s through breastfeeding challenges, but they are also great for those mothers who have had few breastfeeding challenges.  Here are two great articles sharing why woman choose to attend meeting and what they get out of them.

Evening Metting:  Breastfeeding Cafe

We will meet in the office of Womb For Growth, 2800 McClelland Suit 3600, on the first Wednesday of each month from 6:00-7:00 pm.  Take the elevator to the 3rd floor and turn right down the hallway.  Office will be on your left.

Feel free to drop in and stay the whole time or to leave as needed. This time is meant to be a casual conversation in a warm and relaxing environment! Come with specific questions or come to receive or give support.  There is a small area for children to play in but childcare will not be provided.

We are changing the day and time of our Evening Breastfeeding Cafe. Dr. Colleen Holland has so graciously donated her space for us to meet every month.  We are grateful for this opportunity.

La Leche League of Fort Collins will be changing the day of the morning Series Meetings in September 2010. Time of day and location will remain the same. New meeting information is:

We will meet in the community room of the Treetop Yoga Studio, which is on the 2nd floor of Clothes Pony and Dandelion Toys at 111 N. College (in Old Town Fort Collins — click for a map) on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:15-7:45 pm. Feel free to drop in and stay the whole time or to leave as needed. This time is meant to be a casual conversation in a warm and relaxing environment! There is a small area for children to play in but childcare will not be provided.

Parking in the garage at Mason & Laporte is a short walk away and free for the first hour ($.50 for each additional hour).

Babywearing at the Breastfeeding Café

February’s evening meeting (February 2, 6:15-7:45) will feature a “why and how to” of babywearing, including a number of different carriers. BYOC (Bring Your Own Carrier) and/or try the examples provided by Clothes Pony. We will have experienced mothers there to help answer your babywearing questions and help you learn how to wear your baby. If you already babywear please come and share your experience. If you want to learn about different carriers, here is your chance! Accredited Leaders will also be available to answer your questions about breastfeeding.
